‘Immortality’ wins Buffalo Dreams award

‘Immortality’ by Mehdi Fard-Qaderi has won the Best Drama Film at the 2017 Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival.

Iranian film ‘Immortality’ directed by Mehdi Fard-Qaderi has won the Best Drama Film award at the 2017 Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival in New York.

The film had previously been nominated for two titles including: The Best Foreign Language Film and The Best Drama film.

‘Immortality’ depicts events happening on a train during a rainy night. The film chronicles six different families on different carriages of the train, with their individual stories gradually unfolding.

Fard-Qaderi's film experienced its first international screening last year at Rome Film Festival in Italy.

Notable among the cast of the film are Anna Nemati, Manouchehr Alipour, Alireza Ostadi, Soudabeh Bayzai, Maral Farjad, Atabak Naderi and Sana Norouzbeigi.

Buffalo Dreams is a filmmaker friendly event which celebrates the best independent films from around the world in the following categories: Action, Animation, Comedy, Documentary, Drama, Family, Fantasy, Horror, Science Fiction and Thriller.

The festival separates content into three divisions: North American (U.S. and Canada), International, and Western New York.

The American international film festival is held from Thursday, November 2nd, 2017 to Sunday, November 12th in New York, USA.
